Curious Humans

After stepping from the boat, she instantly felt lost in the sea of people. Young humans darted around, screaming and giggling of what GHOST had learned was human happiness. The feeling was like that what Friend Blight had brought her. A prickle of sadness hit her gut. She missed him. But there was nothing she could do about his parting. She could only continue with the plan and escape her prision. From there she assumed that it was implied that she should obtain a Pokemon. That was her own initive.

Sure, her own powers could most likely protect her from harm or capture, but that would draw attention, and what she needed was to blend in. Pokemon battles were the norm, so no one would look in her direction if she were to just intimidate everyone with the sheer power of her team of six undefeatable Pokemon.

But that was in the future.

The present was her standing before this building that apparently housed nearly every Pokemon. That idea seemed silly to GHOST at first, but then she recalled that trainers often carried their Pokemon in tiny capsuls. She never liked that idea of that; trapping Pokemon like that seemed cruel in its own way.

She stepped into the building. It was quaint, but quieter than she had predicted. Regardless, she wanted to get in and out as soon as possible. She took a moment to gather the words in her mind before she called out in a forced voice. "Hello. I am here to claim a Pokemon by the name of Shinx."

She shifted her weight uncomfortably. The human in charge needed to hurry. Didn't he understand that she couldn't stay here long? This would be the first place they looked for her..
