Battle System

There are two types of battling: Trainer Battles and Wild Battles. Trainer battles occur between either an NPC or another user on the site. These battles can be only in fun sport, but users may also bet Poke (money) on the battle. If the trainers do decide to bet money, they must first notify a Moderator so that he or she can complete the money transaction.

Wild battles, however, cannot occur with other users. All wild Pokemon are spawned by the RP Mods. Thus, you cannot spawn your own Pokemon. During wild battles you may capture the Pokemon and gain half experience, or simply defeat it and gain full experience.

While you're in the fight, you may do ONE of these options during a single turn:

**Two Attacks (One Physical, One Status): Examples: Celebi used Calm Mind, then used Psychic. |||| Poochyena used Take Down, then Sand-Attack. ||||| Pidgeot used Featherdance, then Aerial Ace.
**Two Attacks (One Status, One Ailment): Examples: Celebi used Calm Mind, then used Toxic. |||| Poochyena used Howl, then Swagger. |||| Pidgeot used Work Up, then Mirror Move (To copy a Thunder Wave).
**Two Attacks (One negative Status, One postive Status): Celebi used Heal Block, then used Light Screen. |||| Poochyena used Howl, then Sand-Attack. |||| Pidgeot used Featherdance, then used Agility.
**One Powerful Attack: Examples: Celebi used Solarbeam. |||| Mightyena used Giga Impact. |||| Pidgeot used Hyper Beam.
**One Recovery Attack: Celebi used Recover. |||| Poochyena used Heal Bell. |||| Pidgeot used Roost.
**One Item, One Status OR Ailment: Used a Full Restore on Celebi, then Celebi used Calm Mind. |||| Used a Paralyze Heal on Poochyena, then Poochyena used Toxic. |||| Used a X-Attack on Pidgeot, the Pidgeot used Agility.

Notes on Move types:

Once the fight is completed, the RP Moderator will award you (and another user if the battle is between two users) your levels. You don't need to do the math yourself, but if you're curious, this is how Pokemon gain levels on this forum:
<blockquote>Levels 1-20 require One EXP to level up.
Levels 21-50 require Two EXP to level up.
Levels 51-80 require Three EXP to level up.
Levels 81-99 require Four EXP to leve up.</blockquote>
For every Trainer Battle you win, you gain Two EXP; However, for every Wild Battle you win, you only gain One EXP. If you have used multiple Pokemon to defeat one opposing Pokemon, split the EXP evenly among the participating Pokemon.
**Note: If you decide to capture a wild Pokemon, you will only gain Half EXP (.5)

Please keep track of your Pokemon's current EXP in their stats.

Example of Pokemon and their Stats:
